A Therapy Dog at Work and Play.....

Read the reviews of Kate's book, A Therapy Dog at Work and Play: Teaching Children About Body Cues, from Dr Valerie Dripchak, social work professor at Southern CT State University on lulu.com

Follow the day-day lives of Kate's four therapy dogs , Bear, Noah, Muffin and Frodo. Today, on this beautiful day in New England, all 4 dogs enjoyed a great romp in the yard to burn off some steam and the winter blues. Bear is getting ready to head to work tonight to see a few children. Over the last few weeks, he has truly done some amazing work - particularly with one girl who had been sexually abused. He helped her learn about personal/body boundaries through the practicing of paws up and paws down. It was truly magical when you shared, "now I know how to say this is my body".

Follow the tales of 4 therapy dogs, working hard on our motto of "healing the hearts of children one wagging tail at a time"
