ANIMAL ABUSE TASK FORCE - Kate Nicoll was present at the
announcement by the Speaker of the House James Anammann's appointment of
Rep Diana Urban ( North Stonington) as the head of a task force to
research the connections of the circle of violence - domestic abuse,
child abuse and animal abuse. A few weeks later, the New Haven
Register did an in-depth report on the Anicare child study program
spearheaded in Connecticut by Soul Friends staff.
A poster on research of the Soul Friends group, Heeling Hearts, was
accepted for presentation at the International Society for Anthrozoology
in Toronto Canada this July.
Two recent newspaper articles on the Come, Follow ME! group were
featured in the Hartford Courant and the Middletown Press
