Mary holds a 2019 bachelor’s degree in human services from Southern New Hampshire University and is currently working on her second year of a Master’s in Social Work through Springfield College. She is a second-year intern with graduation commencing in May 2027. Mary’s experiences stem from being married with four now-adult children, two grandchildren, and having owned a business in the manufacturing field since 1984.
Her work experience includes 15 years working with families and children in the elementary school system, serving as superintendent of a church school, working in the substance abuse field, and currently working at Mobile Crisis for children in the Hartford area. Mary’s areas of interest lie with animal-assisted therapy, children and families, First Responders, and trauma and grief. In her spare time, she enjoys family time, reading, gardening, canning/preserving, genealogy, antiquing, and her three dogs. She aspires to own a small hobby farm with her husband and retire into an animal-assisted therapy position, continuing her education with EMDR, DBR, and neurofeedback therapies.
