Practices to Promote Peace and Empower Families During the Pandemic Period
This August 27th at 6pm, join the Peaceful Pause crew for a family yoga class designed to help families build resilience, access inner peace, and cultivate compassion during these uncertain times. Together, children and their caregivers will learn to nestle into the present moment as they explore a broad range of mindfulness-based practices.

During the course of this playful 60 minute live virtual class, participants will have an opportunity to experience a variety of simple, animal-inspired yoga poses, practice regulating body energy with pranayama breathing techniques, and nurture compassionate responses with a child-friendly, loving-kindness meditation.
These enriching practices are seamlessly woven into the fabric of an imaginative story crafted to engage school-age audiences and the adults who love them. With an enhanced awareness of the connection between mind, body, and breath, families can begin to develop the skills necessary to make kinder, more effective choices.
Your class will be guided by Peaceful Pause co-owner, Kate Cygler. Kate is a licensed clinical social worker, Registered 200 Hour Yoga Teacher, Certified 95 Hour Children’s Yoga Teacher, and ChildLight Yoga Children’s Yoga and Mindfulness Instructor. In the decade prior to establishing Peaceful Pause, Kate had the tremendous privilege of providing outpatient psychotherapeutic services to children and families at Soul Friends, Inc and she continues to support their mission of promoting health and healing by harnessing the power of the human-animal bond.
